TECHNONICOL TechnoMIX WL

TECHNONICOL TechnoMIX WL is a chloride free admixture and supplied as brown organic liquid, when added to fresh concrete, reacts with products of the cement hydration process to produce a hydrophobic material which repels external water, reducing absorption into the concrete. Hydrophobic polymer induced crystallization effect in concrete and cost-effective means of reducing concrete permeability and thereby reducing water penetration. It is recommended to be used in multi-storey basement, RC flat roof, tunnel, water retaining/excluding structure, bridge deck, civil and building structure.

Unlike a surface-applied membrane, TECHNONICOL TechnoMIX WL builds waterproofing into the concrete itself - the admixture is added directly at the mixing stage, where it reacts with the cement hydration process to disrupt the capillary structures that normally let water migrate through the slab. Because the protection is integral to the concrete, it remains effective even if the surface is later chipped, scratched, or otherwise damaged - a meaningful advantage over coatings, which lose their protective function the moment they're breached.

The admixture is used at a notably small dosage - just 100 g per 50 kg bag of cement, up to a maximum of 0.2% by weight of cement - making it an economical way to waterproof large pours such as basements, flat roof slabs, and water-retaining structures without a separate membrane installation step. Beyond water resistance, TECHNONICOL TechnoMIX WL also improves workability without adding extra water to the mix, reduces shrinkage for a better finish, and minimizes mortar rebound loss during plastering, cutting material waste on site. Being entirely chloride-free, it does not contribute to steel corrosion, making it a sound choice for reinforced concrete structures where long-term durability is critical.

TECHNONICOL TechnoMIX WL conforms to IS 2645-2003 and is compatible with all types of Portland cement and common cement replacement materials, including PFA, GGBFS, and microsilica - giving specifiers flexibility to use it across a wide range of concrete mix designs without reformulating the base mix.
