Invest India along with the Embassy of the Russian Federation in India organized and invited Russian companies in India for a Roundtable Discussion. Leading government officials and CEO’s / MD’s of Russian companies were present in the meeting. The event took part on 24th of August in New Delhi.
The purpose of the Roundtable Discussion was to address challenges faced by Russian companies in India and to highlight the formation of a dedicated “Russia Desk” under the Invest India initiative to support the activities of Russian companies in India.
Mr. Rishi Tripathi, Director of Strategy Business Development of TECHNONICOL India, provided overview of global operations of TECHNONICOL Corporation and its activities in India, discussed barriers in the system of public procurement, which has inefficiencies in adoption of new technologies and vendor registration, and proposed that a working committee to be established to address these challenges.
Invest India is aimed at extension of the collaboration with Russian companies and provide all the facilitation support to help resolve issues and provide a seamless process in their expansion plans. Within this initiative the Roundtable Discussion meetings will continue.
